Mackerel skies and mares tails make lofty vessels take down their sails.
A Rainbow in the morning as a sailors warning.
A Rainbow at noon is the sailors doom
And a rainbow in the night is a sailors delight.
When a robin is seen hopping around the end of a sgeach early in the morning its a sign of rain and a robin on the top of a sgeach singing its a sign of fine weather.
Crow flying low is a sign of rain also the hills very near.
When mosquiteos and other winged creatures seen on the road is the sign of rain also the smoke going up straight out of the chimney or the smoke coming back down the chimney A muddy river is the sign of a storm.
