    They tell stories sometimes and bring news from place to place. Some of them are fairly rich and are called "gipseys". They sell pictures, delph, combs, flowers, brushes and other things. They put bottoms in cans and buckets.

They would surely come at Easter looking for eggs and butter and the old women used to ask for the man of the house for an old disused chalk pipe. You would see her going off fogging her pipe as happys as the day was long. You would see them coming again at Christmas looking for
