   A cure for a rash was to make a mixture of sulphur and unsalted butter and rub it on the rash for three days in succession. To put your middle finger in the ashes and rub it on the rash for three mornings in succession or to rub a piece of raw bacon of on it.
   The old people told me a good cure for rheumatism was to make a paste of gunpowder and cream mixed and put it between two cloths and put it on the person. To cure a boil they used to go to a stream bordering between two counties nine mornings in succession before the sun rose and bathe in it and if the boil had gone they would not sop going until the nine days were past. The old people used to get the skin inside a goose egg and put it on boil and it would cure it too.
   For the chincough they used to drink ass'es milk. A cure for "leicneach" was to put hot chicken-weed to the person's face.
   When the old people would be in the bog they would take off their shoes, and if they had corns, the bog-water
