neighbour who had died about a year before and who always hindered me from going the near way through his land. I never came that near way ever since for that voice frightened me out if my wits.
Did you hear or see anything else"? I asked. "Well says he no but one night as I was going home across the goleen I heard the sledging near me and I went to see who was out so late for it was midnight but though the sledging was plain to be heard beside me I could not see man or mortal and after I made inquiries, I knew it was fairies at work.
