    A Fairy Story
    On the bank of the river Maine near my house a strange light is seen about nine o'clock some winter nights.
    It rises near a few twig trees on the bank and moves slowly down to the water. When it is about a foot from the water it disappears. About after ten minutes it appears a short distance from where it disappeared.
    It moves slowly eastwards until it comes to the bridge that crosses the river Maine from Clounmellane to Ballyfinane.
    When it comes to the bridge the light shines over it and some figures which are drawn on the stones of the bridge may be seen from a long distance some men may be seen also with straw hats fighting with ferns. The light
