About one hundred years ago there lived a woman in a townland in the parish. She had seven cows one year she could'nt make any butter out of the cream. (There was not any creamery then). Although she churned the cream and the result was only froth. She went to the parish priest and he got masses said to restore her butter. When forty masses were said One morning she noticed butter up against the gable of the house like hailstone. She called a nextdoor neighbour and showed it to her and they were afraid to touch it. She went to the parish priest and told him was occured, and he told her the next time she would see it to take some off the gable of the house. Next morning she took some off the gable and took it into her dairy and put it into her churned the cream and she had double the produce that day,(continues on next page)- Collector
