We are traditionally informed that in the townland of Killyloughavoy adjacent to the home of the writer an earthen ware vessel was found in the early part of the last century containing a large number of coins known as "Spade Guineas". But as the tradition is very meagre, I cannot tell definitely what became of the find afterwards,
    We are also told the in the last century some persons dug or excavated a mound in a lough in the Bragan area known as the "Salmon Lough". Nothing of importance was discovered except a few tassels and fragments of crockery ware.
