  1. There is supposed to be a treasure hidden in an old fort or rath in the townland of Ballagh. This place was supposed to be visited by some unknown person who burned candles for a whole night in search of this valuable treasure. People of this district are afraid to venture to tear up the spot as it was supposed to be the home of the fairies and for this reason it is kept intact as it said the good people would bring bad luck on those that interfered with their surroundings.
