  1. Lime burning was an old craft in Ballyouskill. There was a limekiln in Thom Kenndy's field. The people used to make their living out of it. They used to burn coal and sticks and turf. Then they would put a load of lime stones into it. They would light the turf and the stones would turn into lime. Then the people would draw away the lime and sell it.

  2. Old Marten Magree makes baskets and he is a very Handy man he is able to do all kinds of work. He would make a baskets in about five minutes.
    There was lime burned in Dalys kiln.
