  1. Some years ago a man living close to the town of Castlecomer was a patient upstairs in the Hospital of Castlecomer. His name was John Hetherington. At the same time there was a woman down stairs who was expected to die at any time. There were about two people placed in charge of her. When they thought she was dying they were to tip the sealing of the room as to tell a nun who was up-stairs to come down.
    When the nun heard the noise she went down. On her way down she was stopped on the stairs. The man heard her saying "begone you dirty demon is that all you have to do to me." Then she went down and attended the woman.
