- The landlord of my townland was Haire Foster. His family had been in the district for a long time. He was looked upon as a very hard man because if a tenant failed to pay his rent the landlord would turn him out of the house and he would give it to another tenant for five pounds. It was the landlord divided the land into farms. One year a man had no money to pay his rent, and it(continues on next page)
