and different sorts of files and water in a hole for cooling hot irons. A blacksmith is supposed to be a very strong man. There is not as many blacksmith now as there was long ago. My father says there used to be three or four smiths in this parish. Now there is only about one. The blacksmith does not make any ploughs harrows or grubbers, but if they are broken he mends them.
