  1. There are lots of signs, by which we know what kind of weather we are going to have. There are signs of the weather as observed in the sky, such as a ring around the moon, which is a sign of storm. And when the stars are very bright it is said that is a sign of frost, or when the [?] goes down red that is for rain. Also we have birds and animals as weather omens, as we know when we see the crows hovering in the sky, thats a sign of rain. Or when the swallows are seen flying low it is said that's for rain. And when seagulls fly towards the sea that's for fine weather. When the cat turns her back to the fire there is going to be a storm. And when the dog eats water grass that's a sign of rain. Insects and other winged creatures are weather prophets. Such as when the crickets sing or when the midges are out in the evenings there is going to be rain. When the smoke goes up straight from the chimney we are going to have fine weather.
