    people still living in this townland. Most of them know Irish very well and can speak it to any of the teachers. There are no ruins or forts in this townland. Neither are their any lakes nor big rivers but there is a small stream running through the townland.
    The land in general is not very good- the greater portion of it being boggy.
    A story is told of an animal which was seen in our townland long ago. When people met him he used to put them on his back and throw them into a brake of briars. A certain man got a pain of spurs and when he put him on his back he drove the spurs through him. He left the man down and was never seen since or heard of.
