  1. Toremore Fort
    This fort is in the townland of Toremore, Kilcummin, Killarney. It is under-ground for about 1/4 mile There are rooms branching of from the passage. Steps lead down to the fort. The passage is flagged all throughout there is an entrance at each end of fort.
    A man from the townland thought to find out for himself what the fort was like and it it held any treasure, went into it. It had a lighted candle but he had gone only a very short distance when the candle quinched. He got frightened and retraced his steps. This happened about 10 years ago and nobody has gone down there since.
    This fort is supported to be of Danish origin and is in the [?], Co.Kerry
