- "Lepreachan"A lepreachan is a small little man about two feet high. Long ago there was a lepreachan living in Ballyrea mountains. He was dressed in a green jacket and he wore a tall red hat and pointed shoes. His chief trade was shoemaking. There did several people see him but none could catch him. One morning a woman was going to the well for water and the lepreachan was sitting under a dock-leaf making shoes. When the woman came close to the well she spied the little lepreachan and she walked up to him and caught him and put into her apron. He(continues on next page)
