    the men and they were called Cúlógs other horsemen in the party used to "race" for the bridegroom's home and it was considered a great honour to be first. An honour for the jockey and it was considered to be a great test of a good horse. Wives sat on the horses with their husband's and I never heard that one of them fell off.
    Previous to the marriage day, say four or five days beforehand the bride's father gave a party in his house. This feast was was known as "The Gander". The Bridegroom's elect and some four of his friends were invited to it and the whole night was spent in feasting, singing and dancing.
    At the wedding party the best step dancers used have a challenge and sometimes used to dance on a soaped table.
