  1. The Shoeing stone is a stone which is sunk into a bog about a mile from my house. This bog is very wet and if you threw a stone into this bog it would sink. There is a small hole in the middle of the stone. Many attempts to break it have been have been made but they did not succeed. It is said that there is a box of gold hidden under it. There is writing and drawings on the stone but the writing cannot be read.
