  2. Long ago there lived a man named Thomas Brenna in a small district called Killaragh which is situated about four miles from Boyle Co. Roscommon. He dreamt three nights in succession that he would find his fortune on the bridge of Carrick-on-Shannon Co. Leitrim. on the fourth morning he set off for the bridge. When he reached the bridge he walked up and down for a few hours. A shoemaker was sitting at the end of the birdge and he asked Thomas "did he lose anything" and Thomas said "No" but
