Ar an leathanach seo

    is taken for kidney or liver disorders. Ground ivy is good for coughs internal ulcers and skin diseases. Holy thistle is a wee like a thistle but higher and is good for loss of appetite. Raspberries are taken for sore throats and as a wash for ulcers and wounds. The bark of boxwood is used for headaches and tiredness. The male-fern root is given for fluke in sheep or cattle. Celery is taken for rheumatism and kidney trouble generally. It is also taken as a tonic. LInseed is used in cough mixtures. When ground it makes an excellent poultice. Nettle seed is useful in chest affections and as a blood medicine.
    Nettles are given as food to turkeys. When ivy is boiled on clean water and strained the water is used for cleaning clothes. St Patrick's leaf is a small leaf through which a lot of small threads run up
