  1. Once upon a time there lived a little boy named Peter who was very mischievous. His father banished him from home on account of this. As he had no friends to whom he could go, he went to the mountains in search of birds' nests. As he was walking along he saw a little hut on the side of the mountain. In he went, and beside the fire he saw an oat-meal cake.
    Peter was exceedingly hungry and he ate some of it. On looking out he saw a party of men coming towards the hut. He got frightened and looked about for a
