    There are two ruined castles in High Park School district. One in Ardabrone another in Carrowbricken. Tradition says they were built by the O Dowds Chieftains, but during the ways O'Neil and O'Donnell gave them to McSweeney. O'Dowd not having give them the necessary aid against the English Ardnaglass or Ardabrone was besieged by Cromwells army and held out
