A halo round the moon is the sign of bad weather, when the stars twinkle it is the sign of frost. Heavy flying clouds is the sign of frost, coppery and black clouds are the sign of thunderstorms.

    When the sun sets red it is the sign of good weather. Swallows flying low is the sign of rain, when they fly high it is the sign of good weather. The wild geese flying from the sea to the mountain is the sign of storm. When storms are near the cat scrapes wood.
