  1. We are accustomed to a great deal of different birds in our country. They are not the same in colour.
    In this country we have the blackbird, yellow-hammer, robin, thrush, swallow, wren, gold-finch, seagull, cuckoo, crow, lark, lapwing, plover, and curlew,
    The blackbird builds her nest in a bunch of briars or a long banks. The blackbird's nest is made with mud and dry grass. The blackbird's eggs are blue and dotted with white spots. The yellow-hammer builds he nest along high ditches or whins, her eggs are brown and dotted white.
