    O'Connell, out of his own pocket, gave her the money to pay the Rent.
    O'Connell was up very early the following morning, and having disguised himself in the clothes of a labourer went out and concealed himself behind a wall.
    Part of his disguise was a peculiar woolly cap.
    When the Agent arrived at the spot where O'Connell lay in hiding and carrying a bag of money, O'Connell jumped out before him on the road and presenting a revolver at his head said "Boo! isn't it early the cock crew this morning. Throw down your bag of money, and don't come this way again."
    The Agent, throwing the bag out of his hand, made his escape to the local Barracks to inform the Police.
    Meanwhile, O'Connell having thrown off his disguise, hurriedly made his way back to the Hotel.
