    Danield O'Connell once attended the Law Courts in Sligo town.
    He was specially engaged for the defence of some very important man in the County, whose name the reciter cannot remember.
    At this very time, the Agent for Lord Palmerston, the local Landlord was collecting the rents from the tenants in Sligo.
    A poor widow, who was about to be evicted, owing to non payment of her Rent, visited O'Connell in the Hotel, and told him her troubles.
    O'Connell told her to go to the Agent and ask him what time would he be leaving Sligo next morning. She did so and returned to O Connell with the information that he would be going away at five o'clock.
