    Currid was a wonderful runner. He used to kill rabbits and hares by running after them, but the poor fellow broke his leg while doing so.

  2. When St Patrick was driving the snakes out of Ireland, he was travelling between Manorhamilton and Tullaghan Co Leitrim. At the latter place it is said he drove the snakes into the sea.
    At a glen on the way from which the first view of the sea could be obtained, the snakes began to wail. St Patrick called this place "The Wailing Glen". It is said that he stood
