- In olden days there was a fair held in Cliffoney on St Brigid's feast day the 1st of February called the Cliffoney Pattern.
It originated from the custom of visiting St Brigids Well on that same morning.
After the rounds and prayers were said at the Well, the people came into the village and remained there for the rest of the day.
