The majority of the crosses are made of wood and some are made of limestone. Some people are buried within the ruins of the Churchyard. In Kileen and in Keel all the unbaptised children are buried, and they were also buried in forts. Local families use certain graveyards and they are farther away than the Parish graveyard.
