- In this locality there are four "fairy forts." There is one in Kilfynn, one in Drumnacurra, on in Foxfort and one in Lios Dubh. They are all within view of each other and are round shaped. There is a fence of earth and bushes around each one of them.
A story is connected with the fort in Kilfynn.A long time ago a farmer lived quite close to the fort. One morning when he went for his cattle he missed one of his cows.
He used see the cow every May morning and he told a man about it. The man said to him, " Steal around the cow next May morning and take hold of her tail."
He did as he was told and the cow tool him into the fort. He met a man inside in the fort who asked him was he at any loss since the cow was taken from him. The farmer said he was not. Then the man told the farmer that he wanted the cow to have milk for the children which he had in the fort.(continues on next page)- Collector
