  1. The blackbird is a bird that is very common in this place. She is a great whistler. She builds her nest in a blackthorn hedge or in a mossy bank. She lays five or six eggs. She hatches on them three weeks. She never leaves Ireland. All people like the blackbird on account of her beautiful singing.
