  1. When the sun is pale rain is threatened. If the sun is shining during a shower expect another. Good weather is certain when the sun sets like a ball of fire. If it is yellow it will rain.
    If the moon sits like a saucer it holds in the rain. If the moon crescent is very pointed and on its end its a rainy moon. When the darkest part sits in the lap of the crescent the weather will break. A ring round the moon foretells rain. The nearer the ring the further the rain.
    Stars are very plain if frost is approaching. When the milky way is plain it foretells good weather.
    When clouds are very dark and threatening we expect much rain.
    The rainbow locally called the "weather Gall" is a cause of
