    Jack the Bean Stalk and his mother lived in a little cottage. They had but one cow. It was from the money that they got for the milk that they were living on. There was going to be a big fair. Jack's mother said to him "Jack we must sell the cow." Jack said he would. The morning of the fair Jack got up very early. Then he went away with the cow. The first man he met asked him how much did he want for the cow. Jack told him. "I won't give all that," said the
