    St. Patrick is supposed to have sailed down Garadice Lake, in a boat made from hollowed tree trunk, on the way to Crom Cruach.
    A boat came ashore in Garadice Lake some years ago, it was just a hollowed trunk but it disappeared again.

    When young turkeys come out of the shells the shells are left in a row on the hob till the turkeys are a week old. They are then put on a ledge in the cow house to bring luck on the year to come
    Fairies supposed to pass through the house on Halloween night, sweep the fireside clean & leave stools along the fire for them.
    In this district the corpse of a person who dies outside his own house, is waked in an outhouse.
