- Raideóg: Plant found in bogos. Pound it into small pieces, boil it in water all day and give it to calves to drink in the morning. This remedy is used for flukes in calves.
(Michael Quinn, Drumcoula,Ballinamore) - Cure for speedy disease (Black leg) in cattle mix unsalted butter horse raddish garlic and gun powder together. Put mixture in a cloth and make a cut in the calfs tail or dewlap, tie the mixture on with a string, making the sign of the cross three times with the string and leave it on for a few days.
