Once there lived a Protestant woman all by herself in the townland of Foxwood. This woman owned but one cow, and every evening, the woman would put on her plaid shawl and go to milk her cow, which was always kept in a meadow a few fields distance from her cabin door.
When this woman died certain Protestant people who went that way late at night would always meet her going in the same direction as she used to go when alive.
At last they thought of a plan. The next night they came that way, they had with them a Catholic man and when they came to the place where they used to meet the “ghost” there was nothing to be seen nor ever afterwards.
