  2. The cricket sings very sharply. The sheep flock to the low lands. It is the sign of storm to see the robin under the bush. It is also the sign of rain to see a rain-bow early in the morning. When there is rain coming the cat washes her face. The dog eats grass. The cat sits with her back to the fire when there is snow coming.
    The birds fly low down when there is rain coming. When there is rain coming there is a ring around the moon and the moon is pale also. When the rain is coming there are rays coming from the sun. The clouds get heavy and black. Distant hills seem very near hand.
