    18. Lough Scur.
    About half mile from the village of Ceshcarrigan is situated the far-famed Lough Scur, which was once the seat of Mc Reynolds Castle. It also contains the ruins of an old jail. There is a cromlech on the side of the road about a mile from Keshcarrigan. In the Mc Reynold's time people were hanged in the old jail. Mc Reynolds was killed by a soldier from Longford in retaliation for the murder of his sister by Mc Reynolds.
