- The name of my village in Emlaugharn. There are nine houses in it and there were four more in it long ago. One of them is slated and the rest are thatched. McHugh is the most common surname in it. There are four people over 70 in it. Some of them are able to tell stories in English and Irish. Not many went to America except in the Free Emigration. There were no poems or stories about it. There is a hill in it called "Cnoc Sleibhe." The village is good for crops in the west of it but is not much good in the east. There are three lakes in it: Lough Tom, Lough Padraig and Lough Eascon.
