Áill a Mhaistreadha: so called because a man was coming from visiting one night and he heard churning in the cliff
Áill Ciotóg: got its name because there was a man living in a house in it and he had only one hand
Carraig Cearc: so called because it is said two women used to come from the south to it buying hens
Gárraidh Failm: got its name because there was a man named Failim living near it
Brandy Bridge: got its name because every man that used to pass would put a stone in the bridge and get a glass of brandy
