    district, as it was very thickly populated at that time. Many of them went to America, and the houses that they lived in are to be seen yet.
    There is a grave-yard about a mile from this place, but the people were dying so fast, that they were buried in the side of the road or in the nearest field.
    There are many old houses in this district that the people left at the time of the famine, but the roofs are not on them now.
