    Long ago a poor man was crossing a field where as he thought there were cows grazing, but he had not gone far when a bull followed him . . .

    gave him such a blow with his horns that he threw him over the hedge. As soon as the man stood up again he looked into the next field and saw the bull on his two knees tearing the ground.
    "Yes" said the man talking to the bull "it is no use for you to be on your knees begging pardon and pretending you are sorry you surely meant what you did. "
