    The following are some of the schools which existed up 'till almost seventy years ago.

    There was another one in Clostoken(Loughea). Mahony was the name of the teacher. This man kept a pig and the pig used be in the same house as the teacher. Once the teacher was sick and the pig's bedding caught fire.
    The teacher was almost burned to death only for a man by the name of Patrick Fleming quenched the flames. There was one also in Chapel Hill(Clostoken, Loughrea).

    There was not many old schools in the district long ago. There was an old school in Bosnagcat in Maire Heranton's field which is a small one. It was a small thatched house and the teacher used to stay always in the old house. There was
