   and for children to school. At this cross roads there is usually a bon-fire on St. John's night. There is one mass path through the fields leading from the Ganty road to the Kilconcieron road through the Holly Park demesne which is owned by a man names Mr. White. On this mass path a local man named Dempsey was show when going to mass some years ago, was done as was thought by a secret society called "Rories" and ever since the field where the shooting took-lace has been called "Rories field"
