    There is much bargaining and a neighbour interferes to "split the difference" before a transaction is complete. The parties show their agreement by striking hands. When the buyer pays for the animal bought, the seller usually gives him what is called a "luck-penny." This varies according to the price of the animal or the generosity of the seller.
