  1. In Ballymore House, Craughwell, where the foxhounds -- the well-known "Galway Blazers" are kept, there is a room which nobody ever goes into. It is haunted by a ghost which takes the shape of a person dressed in white.
The house was once occupied by a priest named Father Arthur. One night as he was coming down the stairs with a candle in his hand, the ghost appeared before him, took the candle, hit it against the wall and quenched it. Many times afterwards the ghost was seen by different people, and it is said that the priest at last banished it into the room which has never since been opened.
