    Fishing is also practised in the district as we have two fine rivers in the parish,one in Clarenbridge and one in Kilcolgan in which large numbers of trout and salmon are caught.
    Hunting is also carried on and many people in the district have grey hounds and they go hunting for hares.
    the indoor amusements are playing cards,Ludo,draughts and hide and seek.
