Caherdrinan is a fort or dun situated between Clarenbridge and Oranmore. This village derived its name from a fort of Black-Thorn-Bushes and others say it got its name from the O'Drinans who lived in a fort there, and it appears that they were judges. They afterwards lived at Ardragree near Kinvara. Proinséas Ó Murchadha.Killeely. Heard from Pat Cooley,Caheradrinan. Age about 50 years. Proinséas Ó Murchadha
