The names of the potatoes that grow best in this locality are; Up-to-date, Garden Phillers, Epicure, Kerrs Pink, Shamrocks, Golden Wonders, Flounders, Arronbanners and Irish Queens. The shamrock potato is the largest. Some of the potatoes were used for starch.
