  1. The Wise Man's So
    Once upon a time there was a wise man and he had only one son. And the King at the time made a law that every man at the age of sixty should be killed and his head cut off. The wise man's son was just sixty years of age and he hid himself for a long time. Some of the King's servants found him and brought him to the King. The King asked his age. The man told him his age. "Well", says the King, "since you are a wise man's son I'll give you a chance if you'll tell me the best story every you head I'll give you to your freedom and a pot of shining gold". "Very well", says the man. "Well now", says the King, "if anyone disturbs you while you are telling the story I'll kill him
